Just four ingredients transformed into a delicious pate at the flick of a switch, and everyone loves it. You can use any other smoked fish instead of mackerel if you prefer, just make sure to keep the ratio approximately half fish to half cream cheese.

287g packet of smoked mackerel fillets, skinned and checked for bones
300g full fat soft cream cheese (or you can use low-fat)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Freshly ground black pepper
2tbs fresh dill or parsley
Toast, crusty bread or crackers
Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until smooth. Taste and add more lemon juice or black pepper if needed.
